The Foundations of Novel Writing: From Idea to First Concept (only in German)

This course introduces the central foundations of novel writing and shows how a first idea can develop into a narrative concept. The focus lies on believable characters, their arcs, motivations and development, as well as the question of how they come to life through dialogue, actions and inner thoughts.
The course is designed for anyone who would like to begin a novel project or develop early writing attempts with more clarity, structure and inspiration.
Writing in Motion (Any Language)
Sa, 05.09.2026, 11:00 – 14:30 (VHS, München)
This writing walk through Schwabing combines relaxed walking, close observation, creative writing and intercultural exchange. Short writing prompts, quiet stretches of walking and brief background information invite participants to put perceptions, feelings and personal experiences into words.
At different locations, space opens up for encounter and curiosity: How is the same place seen, remembered or interpreted by people from different cultures? The course warmly welcomes people of different backgrounds and with diverse experiences to rediscover Munich together and write about it, also in their own native language, if they wish.
