Ikigai Compass – Coaching for Career Clarity
Because you are not made for a life in templates.
You want to make a change – but you’re not sure where to begin.
Perhaps you’ve been feeling for a while that your current career no longer fits who you are. You have different interests, strengths and ideas, but turning them into a clear direction feels difficult.
Or maybe you’ve already explored different possibilities, reflected on your values and thought about making changes. Yet one question remains: What do I really want, and how can I make it part of my life?
That’s where the Ikigai Compass comes in.
Through our coaching sessions, we take the time to explore your interests, abilities, values and needs. We look at what motivates you, which possibilities suit you and how you can begin to develop new career perspectives.
The aim isn’t to push you towards a particular path. It’s to help you understand yourself better, so you can make choices that feel right for you.
Many interests. Many possibilities. But which path is right for you?
You don’t have to decide everything right now. Start by understanding yourself.
Perhaps you can imagine yourself following several different career paths. Maybe you want to change something, but you’re not quite sure what. Or perhaps you already have an idea of where you’d like to go and wonder whether it truly fits your needs and abilities.
The Japanese concept of Ikigai offers a starting point for exploring what gives your life meaning.
In Ikigai Coaching, we combine this exploration with a structured look at your professional life. You’ll reflect on your strengths, interests and values, discover new perspectives and explore which next steps might be right for you.
The goal: To gain a clearer understanding of what matters to you, the professional opportunities available to you and how you can put your insights into practice.
Your Ikigai process:
The 5 phases
#1 Your passion
What excites you? When do you lose track of time? Which topics have stayed with you over the years?
We’ll take a closer look at what brings you joy, sparks your curiosity and captures your interest. We’ll also explore the things you may not have given enough space to in your life so far.
#2 Your vocation
What are you naturally good at? Which skills have you developed over time? And which strengths might you be overlooking?
Together, we’ll explore your experiences, abilities and personal resources. We’ll also take a closer look at how you see yourself and discover strengths and possibilities you may not have fully recognised before.
#3 Your task
What truly matters to you in life and at work? What do you need from your working environment to feel comfortable and make good use of your abilities?
We’ll explore your personal values, needs and ideas about what a fulfilling professional life could look like.
#4 Your career prospects
How can you bring together your interests, strengths and values to explore new career opportunities?
We’ll develop ideas, consider different possibilities and look at which options could fit your current circumstances and future goals.
#5 Your lived Ikigai
Finally, we’ll bring together everything.
You’ll develop a clearer picture of what makes you who you are, where you’d like to go and which practical steps you can take next.
The result is a personal framework for making decisions and finding direction – something you can continue to draw on long after our coaching sessions have ended.
